Ellen DeGeneres or Ellen The Degenerate?

First of all, I want to say that I support the US Constitution, and interpret it as it was written by the forefathers of this country. I believe that the constitution, gives individuals the right to do anything they want to do as long at it does not directly harm another.

Ellen DeGeneres has the right to pursue what makes her happy according to the US Constitution. Even God has given us the ability to choose between what we want to do, and what He wants us to do. However, in the constitution, it does not say that we should not or can not speak out against the actions and lifestyles of individuals speciously pursuing happiness. As a Christian, a citizen, and a caring man I present the following:

For those of you who don't know who Ellen DeGeneres is, let me give you a fair introduction. She is a talented comedian, famous sit-com actress, and lesbian degenerate. Wednesday April 30, 1997, on her sit-com called Ellen, her character (Ellen) "came out of the closet" to tell her friends that she was a lesbian. There were no parental guidance warnings before the airing of the show; credulous, children viewers had only the moral of the show to lead them. Disguised by an admittedly humorous unveiling (and her friends' encouragement) was the fact that lesbianism is wrong, according to the bible. Not only did her friends accept her lesbianism, but they encouraged it. Her therapist, played by Oprah Winfrey, encouraged her lesbianism. Her friends made statements like "good for you" and "I'm proud of you." Naturally, there were no Christians being represented on the show; no one came forward to tell her "Ellen, you know I am your friend. As your friend and as a Christian it is my duty (2 Timothy 4:1-5) to tell you about what God thinks of your lifestyle decision." Whether intentional or inadvertent, the result of Ellen's show is deception, and Christians are commanded to speak out.

What can Christians do to gain representation? As an example to others, we must personally ban all products, companies, media, and any other supporters of the gay causes from receiving our money or support. Although gays have the legal right to promote their ideas, we must send money to special interest groups that promote Christian values. We have to bring morals back into the common citizen's mind.

Now, don't get me wrong. I am not advocating a legal ban on gay speech; I am encouraging Christians to take advantage of their right to personally ban immoral causes, promote their cause, and denounce evil ones. However, I don't believe gays should be legally or personally banned from church. Nor do I believe that one should hate gays. It is our duty as Christians to hate the sin, but love the sinner. Homosexuality is a sin that is no better and no worse than adultery, premarital sex, cheating, stealing, or that little white lie you told grandmother last week about her fruit-cake. Any sin is relatively as bad as another when compared to the perfection of God. We can repent for these sins, and receive forgiveness from God.

You may ask, "Well, if homosexuality is a sin equal to all others, then why are so many Christians focusing their efforts on gays, and not liars, fornicators, adulterers, and thieves?" The answer to this is simple. Liars, fornicators, adulterers, and thieves do not create organizations whose efforts are solely to promote, mollify, and justify their sins. To compensate for organized gay efforts, Christians have to emphasize that homosexuality is indeed a sin in order to prevent the brain washing of America. You can receive forgiveness for a sin if you ask for it, but if you are not even aware that you are sinning (Due to organized gay efforts), you could be at risk of losing your salvation. (Romans 2:12-13)

Many gays argue that homosexual sex is justified by genetics. Whether homosexuality is genetic or not, is not the issue to many Christians. It is an issue of morality, and since Christians use the bible to guide them on the subject of morality, they must conclude that homosexual sex is immoral. At sin.html you can see the major passages from the bible that deal with homosexuality. You will find that it is unquestionable that the bible detests this sodomy. However, lets assume that homosexuality is genetic. Does this mean that God will make an exception for these individuals? This would be a risky assumption at best. I was born with the desire to have sex with women, but God has told me not to until I am married. Also, married people occasionally have the desire to have sex outside of marriage, but this is a sin called adultery according to the bible. My point is that everyone has inherent desires that conflict God's word, and Gays are not special exceptions to having to follow His word.

Many (practicing) homosexuals consider themselves Christians, and they attempt to justify their actions with the love they have for their partner(s). They say, "How can it be wrong to love another person?" It is true; the bible does NOT condemn one for loving others. It does, however, condemn having sex with another of the same sex. Obviously love is not a sin; it is homosexual sex that is a sin according to the bible. Love and sex are not one in the same. For example, many people love their parents without having sex with them, and many people have sex with people they don't love! Homosexual sex is not justified by love, but many gays use this rationalization as a basis for ignoring all scriptures in the bible that conflict with their sexual preferences.

Unfortunately, there are some homosexuals (especially young ones) that commit suicide as their feelings of rejection overcome them. They may feel rejected by society, and this article may make them feel rejected by God. However, suicide is not a smart option and here's why: If a gay person continues to have homosexual sex without repenting and sincerely trying to change, they may go to Hell after dying. So, if these young people commit suicide as a result of hearing the Bible's condemnation, they may cause themselves to simply arrive in Hell earlier. To commit suicide, they will be throwing away 40 or 50 years (perhaps) of opportunity to change and conform to God's word. At the very least they may be throwing away time they don't have to spend in Hell (A far worse place of torment than their misery on earth).

Gays have the right to be gay. In this country, they even have the right to promote their lifestyle to others. Christians have the right to be Christians, and we too have the right to promote our lifestyle to others. There can be no compromise of morals on the part of Christians. God's word will not change to accommodate gays or any other sinner. That is the Hard Core Truth.
